We just learned that an earth quake has hit the province where our baby Tia is waiting. The preliminary reports are saying it was a 5.7 - 6.0 magnitude earthquake in the Yunnan province. We have contacted our agency to see if they can get us any details about Tia.
Please pray for her safety. I feel so helpless being a world away from my child and not knowing if she is safe.

Diane - I've been praying with you. Our Michael is there too. We'll be there a month from now. I believe they are ok. Saw in the yunnan group that it was felt in Kunming, but no one was hurt and no damage. I will be keeping everyone there (and the families that are waiting here) in my prayers!

I found my way to your blog now, since you posted the link in your last comment. Thanks!! :) Hopefully we get the email problem taken care of soon.
We will definately be praying for God's hedge of protection for the people and children in Yunnan. I'm sure your heart is racing...and you are right, the distance definitely causes a feeling of helplessness, but at least we know we have the Lord and can lean on Him during these times of uncertainty. Please keep us posted!!
